For this photo necklace, I took the photo of a Mexican snowball succulent plant in San Gerardo de Dota, a small community in the southern part of Costa Rica. Moving up into the mountains, people trade their shorts for long-sleeved shirts and jackets and swap their sandals for hiking boots. The forests in this area provide a plethora of chances for birdwatching and flora like in this image abound. It’s something a little different than what you typically think of when you think of Costa Rica.
